Born in St. Joseph, Missouri and raised in the small town of Osborn, Population 400, Travis Hartman developed an early passion for boxing, beginning his journey at the tender age of 6. Over the course of his amateur career, he achieved an impressive record of 156 wins with only 13 losses. He secured three national titles, a bronze medal at the Junior Olympics, and a full-ride boxing scholarship from the Kansas City Golden Gloves to a college of his choice. His remarkable victories included beating future boxing legends like Nonito Donaire in the prestigious Silver Gloves and Anthony Dirrell in the finals of the National P.A.L.
By the age of 20, Travis had turned professional, launching a career that would take him around the world. He fought in renowned venues such as Madison Square Garden and across countries like Germany, Denmark, France, and Canada. He also benefited from elite training experiences in Australia. Throughout his professional tenure, Travis faced formidable opponents, including Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., Keith Thurman, Paez Jr., and world champion Jessie Vargas. A career highlight featured his match against the formidable Terence Crawford on just five days' notice, where he became one of fewer than 10 fighters to avoid a knockout by the undefeated champion.
